Helicopter Foundation International Scholarships

Helicopter Foundation International (HFI) is dedicated to the civil helicopter industry -- promoting and preserving the history, enhancing the present, and building the future. 

HFI offers a variety of scholarships for pilots, mechanics, and those in management. Full details can be found on their scholarship page.

Among the scholarships are four Commercial Helicopter Pilot scholarships for $5,000 each. Applications can be downloaded here. The deadline is November 30, 2009.  

Announcing the Third Annual Girls With Wings™ Scholarship!

We are pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for the Third Annual Girls With Wings Scholarship. Girls With Wings (GWW) is a volunteer organization encouraging more girls to have an interest in aviation through the use of role models that inspire girls to reach their full potential. 

Applications are to be an essay with photo stating why the applicant believes she is a role model for Girl With Wings, to include her motivation, inspirations and future plans. There is no minimum or maximum length required in the essays; quality and completeness are key. There is no need to submit financial information, but if a factor, it can be discussed in the essay. The only prerequisite is that applicants must not have yet received her private pilot's license. 

Applicants agree to possibly have portions of or their entire essays and pictures posted on the GWW website. Please email your essay to scholarship@girlswithwings.com. 

Deadline for submission is November 1st, 2009.
